🗣 IELTS Speaking Series: Lesson 2 – Part 1 Topics Mastery (Fluency, Confidence & Band 9 Structure for Common Questions)
“Fluency is not speed — it’s the courage to keep your thoughts moving forward without fear.”
– Md Chhafrul Alam Khan
💫 1️⃣ Inspiration
Part 1 of the IELTS Speaking test is your warm-up stage — a friendly conversation.
Examiners look for natural rhythm, personal expression, and language comfort.
You don’t need big words — you need connection + clarity + confidence.
🧭 2️⃣ The Formula for Band 9 Answers in Part 1
Every answer should have 3 elements:
| Step | What to Include | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1️⃣ Direct Answer | Respond naturally | “Yes, I do.” / “No, not really.” |
| 2️⃣ Short Reason | Explain why | “Because it helps me relax.” |
| 3️⃣ Example / Detail | Make it personal | “For example, I usually watch a short movie after work.” |
💡 Structure = Answer → Reason → Example (ARE Formula).
This 3-step pattern = perfect fluency rhythm.
