FORMAT GUIDE
Useful for exchanging simple GPS waypoints, routes and mapped shapes between supported tools.
UNDERSTAND YOUR FILES
GPX is a GPS XML interchange format for waypoints and tracks.
KML is an XML language for geographic features and Google Earth-type viewers.
Useful for exchanging simple GPS waypoints, routes and mapped shapes between supported tools. Choosing an output format changes how another app reads the file; it does not restore detail missing from your source.
Basic paragraphs, text, and common markup can be converted, but complex layouts, scripts, custom Markdown extensions and styling may not round-trip.
Your selected file is converted on your device. You can download the new file while keeping the original unchanged.
Some formats work differently across browsers and devices. Check the converted result before using it for important work. Advertising and other optional website services may have separate privacy practices.
Only GeoJSON FeatureCollection Point, LineString and simple Polygon geometries are supported, where the output can represent them. GPX does not support polygons here. No coordinate projection is performed; attributes other than basic feature names are not preserved. Large or complex GIS datasets will be rejected.
Actual output behavior depends on the input file, your browser, device resources and the converter engine. Check important files before sharing or replacing them.
