UNDERSTAND YOUR FILES

SVG vs. PDF: what changes?

Input · SVG

SVG is vector markup. This tool rasterizes safe, self-contained SVG drawings; it does not preserve vector paths in output.

Output · PDF

A portable document format. Here, each converted image is placed on one A4 PDF page.

PDF works for document-oriented sharing, printing, archiving and workflows that request a PDF instead of an image. Choosing an output format changes how another app reads the file; it does not restore detail missing from your source.

Which settings should you choose?

Each selected source produces a separate one-page A4 PDF. Original dimensions help retain detail, but your browser may need more memory for very large sources.

Your files and privacy

Your selected file is converted on your device. You can download the new file while keeping the original unchanged.

Some formats work differently across browsers and devices. Check the converted result before using it for important work. Advertising and other optional website services may have separate privacy practices.

Format compatibility and limitations

This source type requires decoding or rasterization support in your browser. The PDF contains one image on one A4 page, not editable source artwork. Transparencies are placed on white and the image is JPEG-encoded for the PDF.

Actual output behavior depends on the input file, your browser, device resources and the converter engine. Check important files before sharing or replacing them.

HELP & ANSWERS

SVG to PDF questions

Does this create a real PDF?

Yes. The browser generates a standard PDF file containing a compressed raster image on an A4 page.

Can I put several pages into one PDF?

Not in this single-image tool. One source image produces one PDF page, and multiple files produce separate PDFs.

Will transparency be preserved?

No. The PDF image is placed on a white background.
