UNDERSTAND YOUR FILES
A modern image format; this hub currently supports AVIF input only when the browser can decode it.
A losslessly encoded still-image format, useful for graphics, screenshots, text, and transparent backgrounds.
PNG is a broadly compatible format with lossless encoding of the decoded image. Choosing an output format changes how another app reads the file; it does not restore detail missing from your source.
Start with Original dimensions to retain the decoded pixel size. Select a maximum edge only when you need a smaller output image.
Your selected file is converted on your device. You can download the new file while keeping the original unchanged.
Some formats work differently across browsers and devices. Check the converted result before using it for important work. Advertising and other optional website services may have separate privacy practices.
AVIF decoding varies by browser and file variant. A PNG cannot recover lost source detail and may be much larger.
Actual output behavior depends on the input file, your browser, device resources and the converter engine. Check important files before sharing or replacing them.
